Have you ever wondered what would have happened if? Do you live with the regret of not talking that leap?

My name is Shamicka Toney. I am a corporate professional, two-time International Impact Book Award-winning author, and inspirational and motivational speaker who believes in the unstoppable power that comes when we ask ourselves, "What if". My goal is to inspire everyone - young and old, individuals, and small groups, startup companies and international corporations - to tap into the that inner drive that propels us all into the next level (and eliminates the "what if woes").

As a fun-loving, compassionate woman of faith, I have always strived to live life out loud. I've been married to my dedicated and loving husband for 23 years, and our successful partnership has given the world three genuinely incredible young men. 

My first poem was penned back in 2000. That inspired me to write another and another and then short story after short story. Since those early times, I have become an accomplished author of dramatic, faith-based, romance novels featuring real-world, relatable issues that anyone can identify with. These entertaining and addictive works feature imperfect characters with rich backstories and deep personal flaws that make the stories and plots infinitely more engaging. My first novel, Discovering the Covering, has been written into a screenplay. 

And, because I strongly believe that kids need unlimited encouragement during their formative years, I've created a new children's adventure series featuring Jamison the Fly, a remarkable little guy with dreams as big as his wings. He proves that anyone can be a hero - no matter what!

What would have happened if I'd never had the courage to release that first book? The short answer? Absolutely nothing! One thing's for certain, I wouldn't have this amazing journey that has taken this "little idea" to the biggest stages, national airways, and international bookshelves!
